Sofia is a city with a thousand years of history and you can learn a lot from its churches. We recommend you to visit "Alexander Nevski" Cathedral Memorial, which was built in commemoration of those who died for the liberation of Bulgaria.

"St. Nedelya" Cathedral Church, where took place one of the bloodiest attacks on civilians in our recent history, features gorgeous murals.

"St. Nicholas" Russian Church was built in the early 20th century. 
The Boyana Church "St. St. Nicholas and Panteleimon" has unique 13th-century murals and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. 
The church "St. Petka” was built in the 11th century on the basis of an older temple, which was erected on the basis of an even older temple.
